MISSION & VISION

Our purpose is to make knowledge and information accessible to Black communities to ensure people are armed with the tools needed to implement innovative, people-led, culturally-based solutions to social problems.

Our vision is a society where Black people have access to goods and services in safe, healthy spaces. Through our support, people gain the resources and information to establish intentional and sustainable Black owned and operated institutions across the globe.
OUR STORY

The organization originally formed in 2014 under the leadership of Dr. Eletha Thompson, a Black Woman and East Side Buffalo native. Eletha has served the community in many capacities as a social worker, volunteer, educator, activist, and civic worker. She now focuses her career on promoting cultural consciousness, shifting power dynamics, and providing organizational development support to Black-led grassroots organizations and artists.
